Shokuhin Kogyo Co., Ltd, the original company that is now called the KEWPIE Corporation, is established in Otaki-cho, Nakano-ku, Tokyo, and begins to produce a range of food products.
Sales of KEWPIE Mayonnaise begin. It is sold in the form of 100 gram bottles, representing the first bottled Mayonnaise in Japan.
The name of the company is changed to the KEWPIE Corporation, to match with the name of the already well-known mayonnaise product.
